Summer Solstice

I have no idea why, but today I thought of a boyfriend who broke my heart. He was so handsome that girls would stop to stare at him. I, young and full of jealousy and insecure of his love for me, tore our relationship apart.

One day by chance we met and he said there was a song that would always remind him of me.

I was by this time not interested in him or any songs that reminded me of him.

Today, Summer Solstice reminded me of him and I found the song he mentioned.

This is the first time I have heard it and I think it will become a favourite, not for a lost love but for a time
when the only thing that mattered was where to go and dance that evening.
